Elon Musk devastated by attacks on his wealth

Elon Musk, the world's first trillionaire following the launch of SpaceX, is allegedly struggling to cope with the attacks on him and the extent of his wealth.

Since becoming the world's first ever trillionaire (defined as an individual worth one thousand billion), Musk has attracted criticism, particularly from individuals who keep their own life achievements low-key.

The most devastating attacks have included references comparing Musk's wealth to poverty seen elsewhere, with the clear implication that his wealth must have a causal relationship to someone else's poverty. No economist can find an convincing explanation for this phenomenon.

One high-profile critic of Musk has been left-wing Labour MP Anne Tagonist who told Parliament:

"Being a trillionaire means he literally has one trillion dollars in cash in his bank account and can use this as he pleases without any negative implications".

Social media influencer, Perpetua Indignatia, announced on Bluesky that "for every extra dollar Elon Musk gets, an African child somehow starves". This was liked 32 million times, and requoted 7 million times.

A friend of Elon's, speaking on the basis of anonymity, told the OMS:

"People on Bluesky making fun of him really hurts his feelings, because he knows how serious an institution Bluesky is for intellectual debate. He really gives a fuck what Perpetua, a 24 year old gender theory student, thinks about him. All he has got is his vast wealth and fame, plus the possibility of going down as one of humanity's most defining individuals."

A biographer of Musk's, Tim Newell, told the OMS:

"He did not get to where he is today without concern for other people's feelings, especially the views of mediocre people writing on the internet"

Musk has not commented directly on the claims, although we have heard indirectly from SpaceX staff that Musk was attempting to console himself by landing a rocket on Mars.
