Football responds to 'show you're shit'
The “show you’re shit” campaign, the global anti-racism phenomena which succeeds the previous anti-racism phenomena “take the knee” has achieved unanimous support from within the ranks of British football.
“Show You’re Shit”, the global anti-racism movement succeeding the earlier “Take the Knee” initiative, has received near-unanimous support across British football.
The new football regulator, Offside, established in 2025 to oversee the day-to-day running of the game issued a statement yesterday evening:
“As with #BlackLivesMatter, the Premier League will be at the forefront of the cultural response to ‘Show You’re Shit’.
It has been agreed by all clubs that this weekend’s fixtures will begin with a synchronised shit, combined with the traditional taking of the knee.”

Gary Lineker has, unsurprisingly, placed himself at the forefront of the campaign. He told OMS he had “a moral responsibility to lead,” noting he had been ahead of the trend since his well-documented contribution during England’s 1990 World Cup match against Ireland.
Former England Manager Gareth Southgate also issued a statement, but his comments were not memorable enough for anyone to bother noting them down.
Several clubs have announced that fans bringing sealed, transparent bags of their own contributions to wave in support of the cause will be eligible for discounted tickets.

Sadly, support for the gesture has not been universal. One Millwall fan who expressed opposition to the campaign on social media using inflammatory language such as “weird” and “a bit strange” has had his season ticket revoked by the club.
He has also been placed on paid leave from his job as a paramedic following a complaint to the NHS by his local MP, Anne Tagonist.
Finally, the Football Association has confirmed that referees will be instructed to add additional stoppage time to account for any “delays in production.”
